Tonight, is the night for our 12th 100 Men Who Give A Damn! – YEG meeting.
We awoken this morning to the news of Tragically Hips’ front-man losing his battle with brain cancer. We have lost one of Canada’s greatest poets, legendary front-men, and all around brilliantly funny individuals, this will be a cultural loss like few others. Here’s hoping his last bit of time with family, friends, was filled with peace knowing how much enjoyment he gifted to us over the past 30 years through his music.
“Music brings people together. So, my function in anything I do is to help bring people closer in.” – Gord Downie RIP
We are reminded that our collective of donations to local Edmonton Charites assists in helping research cures, staff professionals who assist those with health-related illnesses, provides a haven and healing for those abused or broken. We do make a difference.
We have a packed agenda for tonight’s meeting that will provide lots of great information to all our members!
Doors open at 5:30pm. Program starts at 6:30.
The Derrick Golf and Winter Club is hosting the meeting again for us.
Lots of parking is available. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight October 18, 2017. Don’t forget to bring your BLANK $100 cheque or donate online. Remember, we will be voting on one charity but if you like any of the other charities feel free to bring more than one cheque as I know the 2 non-recipient charities would welcome any support that they receive as well.
If for some reason you cannot make this meeting, DONATE ONLINE
See you tonight,
100 Men YEG
